History

April 1974
Osamu Sato founded the Japan Optical Technology Research Institute in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture.
June 1978
The institute was reorganized into a limited company named Nihon Tokushu Kogaku Jushi Co., Ltd.
Capital: 3 million yen
The head office and plant were relocated to Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.
February 1982
A new plant was established in Shingashi, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, and the head office was relocated to the same address.
July 1984
Capital was increased to 9 million yen.
February 1986
The Kumagaya Mold Factory, located in Miizugahara, Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, was established.
July 1992
Capital was increased to 10 million yen.
May 1997
A new molding factory was established in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture.
October 2005
The Gyoda Factory was relocated and expanded to become the Kumagaya Molding Factory.
July 2012
NTKJ’s research and development plan for “The large mold manufacturing and molding method development” was approved by Japanese government’s “Act on Enhancement of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises’ Core Manufacturing Technology.”
July 2012
NTKJ’s development plan for a “Germanium Fresnel lens” was approved by the local government of Itabashi-ku for the “Act on New Product and Technology development challenge.”
October 2012
Koichi Sato was appointed as the President. The former President Osamu Sato was named as Chairman.
April 2013
NTKJ was granted the “Eco Action 21” Japanese environmental management system’s certificate.
May 2013
NTKJ’s technology development plan was subsidized by the Japanese government’s “act to support small and medium-sized enterprise manufacturers”
November 2013
NTKJ’s Germanium Fresnel lens received the Judges’ Special Award at the Itabashi’s Product and Technology Competition
February 2014
NTKJ’s headquarters were relocated to 2-16-10 Hasune, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo.
